As of September 1, 2006, and other than those persons exempted by the
Occupations Code, ONLY those persons or corporations licensed by the Harrison
County Bail Bond Board may post bail bonds in Harrison County.
You must obtain a license before the Sheriff’s Office will take a bond.
Approval of the license application involves a personal appearance before
the Bail Bond Board by each individual seeking a license, and by each agent of a
corporation seeking a corporate license. The fully completed application, with
all supporting documents, and the non-refundable application fee of $500.00,
must be filed with the Board Secretary not less than ten days prior to the
meeting at which the application will be considered by the Board. The
